Makeup is such an easy, commitment free way of testing out the season’s trends. Here are a few of our favorites this spring…
Blues and greens make a comeback in a big way.
Glowing, flawless nude faces were all over the runways.
Bold brows are another major trend this spring, caution – this one can make you look crazy like Jerry Seinfeld’s Uncle Leo.
Lush lashes are the main focus, reminiscent of the 60′s.
And if you haven’t had enough neon in your life…
What’s your favorite? Will you be updating your makeup looks this season or sticking to the tried and true? I’m loving the neon lips and the soft glowy skin!

This outfit has inspired a few ‘fashion’ thoughts. 1. I wish I was wearing this outfit. 2. Is there a way I could I wear this outfit every day? 3. Dressing down your dressy items is a really good plan.
Rag & Bone Jacket + Erin Fetherston dress
Let’s discuss. I love basics and casual dressing too, don’t get me wrong. However, I do think that one of the essential tricks to looking like you just got your picture snapped outside of a Stella McCartney show, is to mix it up a bit. Looks cute while running errands, meeting friends for lunch and the like as well.
If one saw this jacket in a store one might think “Oh my god, that jacket! I need it. But wait, where would I wear it? I don’t go to parties, the opera or Oscar after parties”. Stop right there. Wear it with a tee shirt, jeans and be amazing. And casual at the same time.
Buy the jacket!
This also reminds me of one of my favorite quotes that relates not just to fashion but to all aspects of life.
Don’t save the good china, your special candles or expensive bubble bath.
A baseball cap and a long white lace dress? Yes. Do it. You look adorable.
What is this woman wearing? Let’s break it down. A sweatshirt, a jean shirt, a pair of shorts. Also, a killer pair of heels, and a ridiculously amazing and ginormous statement necklace. Should it work? Nope. Does it work? Sure does. Thank god you bought that outrageous necklace. Just look how much use you’ll get out of it.
Sequin skirt, white slubby sweater, cognac leather purse. You get where I’m going right?
Yes. Everything about this outfit.
Gorgeous silk (yellow – shriek!) Skirt. Worn perfectly casual with flats and a tank. This is what to take when you travel or what to wear when you are going for a coffee date. Give your jeans a day off and god forbid I need to say this… ditch the yoga pants. I didn’t need to say that, right?
Ripped denim begs to be worn with feminine, tailored and elevated pieces.
This skirt is over the top glamour. But perfectly toned down and edgy when paired with an oversized tee.
In summary, wear your beautiful clothes, don’t save them for special occasions and if you see something you love but are worried it doesn’t fit into your lifestyle, I think we just learnt how to justify it didn’t we…
